There, his crew is tempted by the sweet fruit of forgetfulness, lured into comfort and disconnection from their purpose. But Ulysses, embodying true leadership, resists the drift. He awakens his men, restores their direction, and sets sail once more toward destiny.

This is why we were inspired to create the Dream Island Academy — a space where young leaders, like Ulysses, can awaken their purpose, reconnect with their mission, and set course toward impact. It is not just a program — it is a modern odyssey for the changemakers of today.
Organized by JCI Djerba Midoun in partnership with JCI Djerba, the Dream Island Academy is a transformative, inclusive leadership experience set on the inspiring shores of Djerba, Tunisia. This inaugural edition invites young changemakers, emerging voices, and dedicated professionals from across civil society — especially JCI members, entrepreneurs, and aspiring leaders — to step into a space of growth, connection, and meaningful transformation.

Who is Facilitating the Learning?
Meet Lars and Fares
Lars Hajslund has spent most of his adult life on stages across the globe, working with people in high-performing organizations in 123 countries, including 44 states in the US.
He assists his clients in growing their businesses through the right strategies, effective communication, and a creative approach.
His methods are practical and rooted in his extensive experience leading organizations ranging in size from 4 to 180.000 people.
As a Past President of the largest organization worldwide for young leaders, Junior Chamber International (JCI), he continues to engage in the development of talented leaders and change-makers. This has afforded him a unique network that spans from some of the world's foremost thinkers to national leaders.
Lars has lead the JCI Academy in Japan for 11 years and lead many national academies on 5 continents.
Lars is the Co-founder & Principal of CLICK Institute and the Founder of Be Better Academy and serves as both chairman and board member of several companies and foundations.

Fares BEN SOUILAH is an agent of change by passion. He is a professional coach, organization consultant and international trainer certified in "Essential Skills *" with more than 10 years of experience in Tunisia and abroad. He is also a professional radio journalist.
Recognized for his different and innovative style based on playful learning through games. A citizen of the world, Fares has had the opportunity to design and conduct several training programs, Essential Skills seminars, and leadership academies in more than 15 countries on 4 continents.
He continues to inspire leaders through his motivational conferences and TEDx Talks.
Fares has already accompanied several Tunisian and multinational organizations and companies from different sectors.
He is also an active member of the civil society mainly through Junior Chamber International.
